I Know You Are, But What Am I?

So I was watching speed skating last night (I kind of dig speed skating),and it seems there's some sort of childish, petulant blood-feud going on between two of the members of the USA speed skating team.

The world's opinion of us is low enough as it is. Honestly. Go ahead and act like babies, but please, for the love of God, don't do it on INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION!!

I could write a whole post on this instead I will say just 2 things.

1. The most tragic thing about this whole fued is how inarticulate Davis is. That is the thing we should be trying to gloss over for our country's reputation.

2. You mean we shouldn't get all petulant and operatic because it makes out country look bad? We should maybe take a page out of the book of that Italian ice dancing team that skated a bad program and neither spoke nor looked at nor practiced with each other until they were ON THE ICE for their next dance the following day? With the Olympics on their home turf, no less. Classy. Nay, Klassi.

It is too bad that we cannot have as a prerequisite to the Olympics:
a. psychology classes
b. maturity checks
c. tape over the mouths of the ones who don't represent us well!

Michele sent me. Welcome to the weekend meet n' greet.
