Guess What WE Did Today!!
We only had to drive for about an hour and we had a fantastic time. The girls held up quite nicely, though we were mostly frozen by the time we decided we were done.The girls have decided they want to try skiing next time. I'm not sure how that'll go, but I can be easily convinced to go tubing again; it was fun.

I think that it's great to have some of these "fun with snow" memories in the bank! Some of my most fun times as a child and young adult revolved around making the most out of what our New England climate offers! With your skating background,I would think that this would also be an area to explore.
Why go a whole hour away when you can go right down your precipitously steep driveway! The added challenge of avoiding the traffic at the bottom should make the experience easily as memorable, and provides customizable difficulty levels, based on the time and intensity of traffic.

One of my three started with the tube and got very into skiing, which I can't do. Luckily she has friends--she went with one friend's family to Vermont for a week. That'll do her.
